Pandory

Pandoras box: A large consequence or endless trouble arising from something small.

Jackanaory:

I'll tell you a story

About Jack a Nory;

And now my story's begun;

I'll tell you another

Of Jack and his brother,

And now my story is done.

A glimpse inside Pandory

Welcome to the dreamcatcher

Pandory is a collection of flash fiction with twisted endings. My inspirations come from quotes, real life experiences, things I have seen or heard and even watched. Pandory starts with The Dreamcatcher. Its a fictional story about where Pandory and her stories came from. The other stories can be enjoyed in any order you like. Flash Fiction takes between 3 and 10 minutes long to read, and are perfect when you don't have a lot of time to spare. I really hope you enjoy these and don't forget to subscribe so you know when Pandory has emptied another dreamcatcher!

Just look at them poking around again. It makes me so angry that I have no privacy what so ever. And they don’t care. Just because they own the place doesn’t mean they can be rude to the people that live in it. It’s like I don’t even exist. I wish I lived somewhere else, somewhere with no nosy parkers peeping through my windows all day or being able to take a bath without someone opening the door unannounced. This is an expensive property. I know because I’ve heard the owner talk about how dear it was to buy. But I put up with it. Only because there’s probably no way I would ever get another place like this.

The view is amazing. I can see the tallest buildings and skyscrapers. Lights flashing everywhere and cars driving past travelling to destinations unknown to me. I long to venture outside and see it all, but I’m pretty much confined to this house. Not being able to move freely without help is one of my biggest disadvantages. Being mute is another one.

Ellie always helps me out though. She is such a lovely girl. She will help move me from room to room chattering about her day as usual. I have never been a burden to her. It would be devastating if she stopped visiting me. But sometimes she brings her friends around with her to help and I don’t like them. When Ellie's not looking, they mess with me. They move my furniture around and I know one of them tore my wallpaper. But because I can’t tell Ellie or show her, I have to wait until she notices to put it back.

I love it when she leaves me be in the living room. I have a huge comfy armchair that lets me see everything. The view outside, the fireplace and the mirror so I can see myself. I don’t like being left in bed all day. It’s too cold and stiff. The room is pretty but I always tend to feel coldest in there, probably because its blue. Bathrooms are supposed to be blue. Mine isn’t. Mine is mint green. I have a huge bathtub and a tiny little sink. With green towels and a green mat. It reminds me of the hotel I stayed in with Ellie once. It looked ever so posh. She hasn’t taken me anywhere with her for a while now.

But getting back to why I am so angry in the first place. Ellie left me quite happily sitting in the living room whilst she popped out, and her two friends came in and started messing up my home. They left the door wide open, left my rug flung in a pile in the corner, my kitchen table for some bizarre reason is upside down and my wardrobe emptied onto the bedroom floor. They ransacked it. I hope they haven’t stolen anything. I'd be even more annoyed. Then they just left. Ellie didn’t have chance to come back so when she does she is going to be so upset with how they treated me. But maybe it’s a good thing. Maybe she will never ask them to come back again after this. I can’t even see her out of my window because they’ve left me on my back with one arm stuck up and my hair all knotted. I have no clue what they were trying to do to me. I told you. I never get any privacy. Even though I’m the only one that lives here. It’s no fun you know. Living in a dolls house by the window of a ground floor apartment. People will always look in.
